I ordered a Medium for my 10 year old daughter, a little bit big on the sleeves but it looks very cute and it will last her for a while, she was very happy with her shirt. My daughter was very happy, so a medium shirt on a 10 year old girl would look more like a long shirt like the displayed picture, she can easily just wear it with a pair of tights or leggings, shirt is long enough to cover the butt and go mid towards the thighs and can be worn alone like a t-shirt dress.
