A treated natural black diamond is a black diamond of natural origin whose colour has been artificially enhanced to obtain a more intense and homogeneous black tone. In rough, these diamonds can be grey, brown or black with visible inclusions. The treatment – often by irradiation or heating at high temperature (HPHT) – allows to accentuate the black color. This treatment is permanent.
