Description X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) – a high-carbon, molybdenum-vanadium martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterised by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 57-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel is enriched with an admixture of 15.0% Chromium, 0.80% Molybdenum, 0.20% Vanadium. Blade – robust Bowie profile with a prominently curved belly. Plain edge is crafted with a flat grind, offering excellent cutting performance combined with remarkable durability. A double-sided steel guard at the base of the blade prevents the hand from slipping onto the edge during use. Handle – profiled, covered with polished waterproof jute micarta grips. Provides a comfortable, secure grip. Rivets attaching the grip covers are made of high nickel brass. In the back of the Handle, a hole for a cord secures it. Sheath – hand-stitched, crafted from premium, well-tanned natural cowhide leather in a rich brown colour. Features the manufacturer’s embossed logo on the sheath body. The holster is secured with a Prim-type snap fastener. The edges are stitched with decorative thread. Designed for vertical carry, the sheath can be attached to a belt or gear for convenient transport.
