Blade for making great seax for historical reenactment. This seax blade is based on the exemplars found at the Birka / Björko (Sweden) site. The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel, tempered with hardness of 55-57 HRC. It presents a beautiful “brut de forge” finishing and a scandi edge and although it has a sharped edge it could need an extra sharpening.
