Our large ball profile pommel with an M8 pin is a simple, affordable 1-7/8″ sphere. We only offer it with M8x1.25 thread. **The underside of the pommel is recessed to specifically allow our aluminum grips to fit inside the pommel by a 1/4″.** Its total weight is .89lbs./410g. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Black Oxide”, an ultra tough dark matte black finish that offers the best rust prevention. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides great rust resistance and detail preservation. Spherical Type “R” pommels have been around as long as swords have and can be found on many different types of bladed weapons well into the present.
