This type of amulet was found in large numbers in archaeological material from the East Europe. This type of miniature axe was common in the Baltic and Slavic countries during the Viking Period, especially along the Daugava river in Latvia and the Dnieper river in Ukraine. Examples have also been found in Gotland, the Oslo Fjord, and Bergen, Norway. It’s hand made of bronze. Measurements: 2.4 x 3.7 cm.
