We pride ourselves on making the most accurate Victorian dueling saber simulators on the market and have earned the accolade of being the best at this particular task. To design and engineer these economically priced sabers, we started with historical statistics. Many of the masters of the period (1840s -1920s) agreed that the ideal point of balance for these light fencing sabres is 9 to 10 centimeters from the front of the guard. This distance was often referred to as “4 fingers width”. Universally, the overall weight for this class of sabre was often between 600 and 700 grams. We’ve gone to great lengths to engineer these products to precisely follow these specifications while using the most robust blade materials available today. As an added bonus for you, we’ve streamlined our processes to offer an unprecedented and unbeatable price. The improved economy dueling sabre blades are made from .130 5160 blue temper spring steel and are flat distal ground with precision to put the flex right where it needs to be- the tip 3rd. The blade flex is our F3 flex, great for delivering solid yet forgiving thrusts and cuts without being floppy or whippy at all. The handling on these blades is exactly like that of our more expensive dueling sabre blades because we believe that our customers expect consistency from us regardless of price. There are also some exciting grip options for you. We have upgraded the economy dueling sabre grip to be touch longer and more comfortable. Our proprietary backstrap system, available with two sizes of grip insert, will transform this economy sabre into something light years ahead of the competition. The deep grip insert is designed to mimic the general shape of the light military sabres of the 1870’s through the 1920’s. The shallow grip insert is designed to the general specifications of the “sport” sabres of the 1880’s. And, just like everything else we build; all of these economy parts are interchangeable with every other dueling saber product we make.
