Our Economy Long Sword features our beloved small feder blade at at choice of 32″, 34″ or 36″ in either an F3 or F4 flex with a dedicated 8.75″ solid tang and swelled tip that will fit a rubber blunt easily if needed. We debated on whether the 8″ or 10″ cross was right for the overall dimensions of the blade and grip length; we couldn’t decide so we have made this an option for you to decide! We’ve designed a comfortable 8″ PLA waisted and contoured grip with a wonderful built in texture that offers a tactile grip surface that won’t break down. Finally, we couldn’t find the right pommel in our current lineup to finish out this product to our liking, so we designed one. This “Pear” profile pommel is the perfect shape and size to balance out the sword extremely well. You’ll find that it comfortably fits in the palm of your hand for those tight pivots. It also grants an extra inch of usable grip space beyond the grip, pushing it to an overall of 9″. The overall weight is right at 2.2 lbs (995 grams) and the POB is 1.25″ (2.8 cm) infront of the grip. While this economy simulator is not quite as large as some of its full Federschwert counterparts, it is just as robust while maintaining lightning quick handling and fantastic bind capability. It is an especially wonderful full-function training tool for schools and those with physical limitations due to its light weight. Ships disassembled to save on shipping cost, simply add the cross and grip and screw the pear pommel onto the tang threads tightly and you’re ready to go! Fits a large sized #3 rubber safety tip.
